Rather than focusing on physical attributes of birds in flight, in this painting my purpose was to recreate the feeling of seeing birds swirling through the air, in a musical rhythm that always seems chaotic yet choreographed. The heavy daubs of paint and restricted use of color help add to the feeling of unified chaos.
